On Saturday, April 26 at 7:30 pm, the WSU Choirs, under the direction of Dr. Colleen Chester, will present their spring concert, Home and Sacred Spaces. This concert explores the spaces in our lives that bring us comfort, safety, and solace – in our physical homes, faith communities, our cities, nations, and planet, our bodies, and beyond. Along with a musical celebration of poignant and historical works, the repertoire will also invite us to consider how we can work together to help create and celebrate homes and sacred spaces for those around us. This concert will include works by Salamone Rossi, Dale Trumbore, Giovanni P. Palestrina, Moira Smiley, Lajos Bárdos, and feature “At Home”, a multi-movement work by Minnesota-based composer Tim Takach.
